TIMELY TRY AND CONVICT CRIMINALS WHO VIOLATE THE LAW

  • Dragan Sekulic, sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 17 years for the murder of his ex-wife.
  • Ryan Jones, sentenced to 15 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter conviction in a heroin overdose.
  • Chester R. Crank, sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 17 years for killing 87-year-old veteran Bennie Angelo.
  • James Mammone, III, sentenced to death for murdering his two children and ex mother-in-law. 
  • Ex-cop Bobby Lee Cutts, Jr., sentenced to 57 years in prison for killing his girlfriend and unborn child. 
  • Vince Frustaci sentenced to ten years in federal prison for stealing money from the Treasurer's Office.

AGGRESSIVELY PROSECUTE AND RECOVER DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE TAXES

  • Collected in cash and repayment agreements over 11.8 Million Dollars from 2011-2015.  Part of the money collected is distributed back to the schools, townships, cities, villages, parks, libraries and ambulance districts.

FORFEIT CONVICTED CRIMINALS' ASSETS

  • Collected over 1.2 Million Dollars from criminals in 2011-2015, by forfeiting their assets and distributing part of the money back to local law enforcement agencies.

EDUCATE FELONS TO BE DRUG FREE IN THE ADULT DRUG COURT PROGRAM (CHANCE)

  • Educate felons by providing one year outpatient counseling to break the cycle of addiction so as to lead to a future productive drug and alcohol free life.

PURSUE THE COLLECTION OF MONIES STOLEN FROM THE TREASURER'S OFFICE

  • To date, we have recovered in excess of $1.75 Million.

VIGOROUSLY PROVIDE SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF CRIME

  • From 2011 - 2015, provided various services to approximately 33,900 victims.

WORK WITH VETERANS IN THE HONOR COURT PROGRAM TO HELP ORIENT THEM TO CIVILIAN LIFE AFTER SERVING OUR COUNTRY

PRESENT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON CHILD SAFETY, CHILD BULLYING, GANG AWARENESS, GUN CRIMES AND CRIME-WATCH PROGRAMS

  • From 2008-2011, presented 712 educational seminars.

WORK WITH YOUTH IN THE JUVENILE DRUG COURT (STAR PROGRAM) TO EDUCATE THEM ON THE DANGERS OF DRUGS

PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO VARIOUS SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTY

  • Programs to educate students on drug prevention, sexting and bullying/cyber-bullying.

CONTINUE TO APPLY FOR ADDITIONAL FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS

  • From 2008 through 2012, my office obtained $3,455,801.02.  These funds relieves the Stark County General Fund from paying salaries and benefits for certain employees.

PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

  • During 2011 - 2015, provided educational meetings on crime prevention, fraud, predatory scams, internet safety and other programs for over 2,500 Stark County Seniors.
